“When Percy Jackson receives an urgent distress call from his friend Grover, he immediately prepares for battle. He knows he’ll need his powerful demigod allies at his side: his trusty bronze sword, Riptide; and …a ride from his mom.
The demigods race to the rescue to find that Grover has made an important discovery: two new powerful half-bloods, whose parentage is unknown. But that’s not all that awaits them. The Titan lord, Kronos, has set up a devious trap, and the young heroes have just fallen prey.”
Rick Riordan’s third book of Percy Jackson’s series is Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Titan’s Curse, I loved. I like the fact that each book Percy is getting that much closer to the age of sixteen when the prophecy will take place but who will that really be? Percy is not the only hot ticket in town now. Thalia, Zeus daughter was brought back and is very close to sixteen but now two more confidantes will be coming forward and will be a surprise to all.
I find it frustrating with the character of Luke. You know that he has turned but secretly you want him to be really helping Percy and his friends but alas I do not think that is so. Luke really is part of the villains and wants his revenge which he will be getting as Kronos becomes stronger.
I like the new character of Rachel who is a mortal but she can see through the mist. She is not a main character but perhaps she will make herself known in the next book.
Poseidon is making himself known little by little which is making Percy feel a little better but he has his friends and his brother. Percy’s mom is also dating a teacher who just might be good for her.
Artemis and Apollo will make themselves known as one will get tangled up in with the villains. The huntresses who are only loyal to Artemis will get involved to find their priestess.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Titan’s Curse is nothing but action packed with tragedy as those who are close will meet their ends, and questions will be answered.
