A Killer Read

This is one of the few books that I literally picked because of its cover. If you noticed there are two Siamese cats which got my attention. Now I am an avid animal lover but it was really because they look exactly like my cat Bobby or otherwise known as Bobblehead and his mother Chloe who is my friends cat. I did not even read the back of the book but from the looks of this book it screamed mystery and I was right.

Lizzie Turner is excited about her first book club meeting for the Ashton Corners Mystery Readers but then a murder happens at the southern mansion. Everyone is a suspect for the murder of this stranger and it will bring Lizzie face to face with her high school crush police chief especially as Lizzie is finding mysterious manuscripts in her mailbox.

A Killer Read by Erika Chase is the first book of the new series Ashton Corners. Now as a mystery novel it was intriguing but it didn’t pull me in all the way. I am bias with mystery novels as I am not the biggest fan. They don’t move me with the murder mystery aspect. A Killer Read was a fun novel though with the characters and the trusty pair of cats. I did like that it kinda resembled clue as a body appears and everyone is a suspect in the house. It had a Agatha Christie feel to the novel which was ironic as this author was referenced within the pages. I can see that this series will continue and will go for another round.

Seduction by the Book

Picking up Seduction by the Book I did not know this went along with Her Sexy Valentine with Carol Snow. But Seduction by the Book is the first book which introduces this unique book club.

Gabrielle Pope had one purpose and that is to start an erotic book club where the women would find new meaning to seduction. Gabrielle will have each pick an erotic book and find the man they need to experiment on. The women, Cassie Goodwin, Page Sharpe, Wendy Trainer, and Jacqueline Mays will all be able to complete their tasks except for the last member Carol Snow who will have her own story later on.

The pages will literally sizzle as you read Stephanie Bonds book. The four short stories are steamy leaving you wanting more. Bond keeps the characters unique in their sexual desires and witty attributes. Stephanie Bond keeps the stories short and too the point and you will not be disappointed unless you are looking for four novels on these woman.

Valentine’s Day That Never Ends

Reliving a day over and over is not something that is always positive when trying to find what to fix. Stephanie Bond will bring in her character Carol Snow to find out just how hard it will be to relive days in Her Sexy Valentine.

Carol Snow is not loved at her job. She is know as the Ice Queen with her chilly attitude. Carol had been in love and reckless but that was long gone as she got her heart broken.  A rugged coworker Luke Chancellor now threatened that reserve but today was going to be long as it will never end. Carol relives her day Friday the 13th, a day before Valentines day. Carol is reliving to change her attitude about love and giving chances.

Stephanie Bond gives a spin off of a Christmas Carol in this modern romance story, Her Sexy Valentine. I like Carol and how she is playing scrooge. It was cute that is was about Valentine’s day and all about finding love and herself. Stephanie Bond gives a heated and passionate story which heats up the pages between Carol and Luke. You will want to finish to find out how Carol will prevail and find herself.
