Theirs to Take is the forth story to the series Blasphemy by Laura Kaye. This is a series all about the BDSM world that Laura Kaye has created. I have been enjoying these books as the author writes interesting characters that were either new to the world or coming back to that world.
Within this novella there are three characters that are coming together to become a menage. There is Hartley, Jonathon and Cruz. Jonathon and Cruz knew each other from the Navy and had feelings towards each other but both were to scared to pursue anything. It will take Hartley to bring the men together with her in the mix.
Alright now in all honesty I did like the story. It was steamy and very quick to read but it wasn’t my favorite. I wanted more on the story, more detail. I think that if the story had not been a novella there would have been more time to really develop the characters. In novellas everything just goes fast and even though I love a good happy ending I wanted more on the characters. There needed to be more detail to really get the characters developed and to make it believable of this change in all of their lives.
Wolf Henrikson had been waiting on a potential meeting but was stood up. He will be alright with the situation especially when he meets Olivia. He will save her from a bad date and whisk her off, and thing will only heat up from there.
Olivia Foster wanted the date from hell to end but she wasn’t able to be saved by her friend. Then she will get saved by a man who will have her wanting more, even though they had just met. Olivia will follow her feelings which will lead her down a path she never thought to follow.
Eyes on You is a novella in the series Blasphemy by Laura Kaye. Wow is the word when you read this. It was steamy and will make you wish you had Wolf in your life. I really thought Laura Kaye did a great job with this novella.
Wolf’s character was a dream man. He was protective, funny, hot and knew how to work his body and his partners. He was also kind and thoughtful to help someone in need. He was one of the masters of the club and his kink was voyeurism. Now with the kinks that are part of the club voyeurism has to be the least threatening one that would cause any harm to one person. The scenes between Wolf and Olivia are very steamy and written well. I liked Olivia’s character for taking a chance on the wild side. She had once expressed a fantasy to an ex and he laughed at her. That broke her desire to tell others. I liked that with Wolf she felt safe with him to express her desires.
Now I said the author did really well with this novella, but there would be one thing I would change and that would be the length. There is a conflict within the book with her ex-fiance and I kind of wanted more on that story line. I think there was potential to write more which would create more tension. Though for the novella it was well placed and gave enough satisfaction with the solution.
The next story to this series will be coming out this September.
Quinton Ross loved his job at Blasphemy but he wanted more. He wanted a partner in and out of the club. Quinton will find that with Cass but he will have to first help her fight her phobia.
Cassia Locke had been trapped in a cave for four days which created a phobia of the dark. For two years Cass tried to cure her phobia. She decided to come back to Blasphemy and ask Quinton for help.
Mastering Her Senses is the second book to the series Blasphemy by Laura Kaye. I really enjoyed this story. It was another look into the Dom/Sub but this one concentrated on sensory play. It also took a look into phobia which for me brought more to the story.
Quinton’s character was a fun loving guy who was kind of adorable. I instantly liked him when he was first mentioned. I will say I would be interested to know more about his background. You got to know some but just the facts. He was an interesting member of the club with the sensory play, I liked that he was able to help Cass with her phobia of the dark. Cass’s character was a young woman who was trying to heal herself. She was brave to try and help herself, but she pushed herself too much. I liked that Quinton was able to reel her back.
What I thought was interesting was Cass’s brother is a member of the Raven Riders which is another series by Laura Kaye. I wonder if Jagger will have his own story. I am looking forward to Maverick’s who will be in the second book of the Raven Riders, which I am on the list for.
The next story from Blasphemy will come out this June so I don’t have too long to wait.
Kenna Sloane has been dealing with her own personal demons and she needs a way out. Kenna will take a chance and step back into her old world with the Blasphemy club. She knows that Griffin will be the man to help her.
Griffin Hudson had lost the love of his life, he just had not known it at the time. Now with her back Griffin will do all that he could to keep her.
Bound to Submit is the first book to the series Blasphemy by Laura Kaye. I really enjoyed this book. I got my first look into this Blasphemy club with Hard to Serve which was a cross over story from Hard Ink series. I thought that Laura Kaye did a fantastic job on getting to that emotional drive in the characters. I am not always a fan of the dom/sub play but Laura Kaye really can write it well.
Throughout the story Kenna is battling with survivors guilt. I truly felt her struggles through the book and the triumph that happens towards the end. Kenna’s character was a strong woman who has lost who she was. She was brave enough to try and find that woman again. Her interaction with Griffin was intense and it helped break down a few barriers she was holding on to. Griffin’s character was a Master in the club and he knew that he had made a mistake five years ago. I liked that he owned up to that mistake and that he treated Kenna with the same care and love he had before. Of course his love was all about bondage but that was what Kenna wanted and needed.
