Steven Creed is an attorney who will find himself becoming a guardian of an orphaned five year old boy. He will move to Stone Creek to be near his family and to make a home for himself and Matt. While Steven was making a home Matt wanted to complete his new family with a new mom, the prosecutor Melissa O’Ballivan.
A Creed in Stone Creek is the first book to the series Creed Cowboys by Linda Lael Miller. So when I started this series I had read the second book then the third book and I am finally finishing the series with the first book.
Well as a whole I liked the series. Personally for me I liked the first book as it was a good book but I thought the other two were better. I guess I was just more intrigued with the twins in the other two books. Although Matt was pretty entertaining to read about and I thought the build of romance between Steven and Melissa was good.
I was happy to read the series because I don’t read a lot from Linda Lael Miller. I tend not to read tons of stories with cowboys, its usually ballrooms and rogues for me, but its always good to change things up.
Brody Creed was back in Lonesome Bend to settle down and to repair the rift that had torn apart his family. He will be building a house for himself but a woman to share it with was on his mind. There was only one woman, Carolyn. The only problem was that he had screwed up years ago with her.
Carolyn Simmons had her heart broken by Brody years ago and it still hurt to this day. With him back in town she had to see him often which had her wanting things she knew would be bad for her heart.
The Creed Legacy is the third and final book to the series Creed Cowboy by Linda Lael Miller. I thought this was a very engaging book that left you with a smile on your face as the Creed brothers found their happy ending.
When I read the previous book I had wondered about Brody’s story. Towards the end you got to hear what had happened to Brody which was tragic though it wasn’t the complete story. Miller will fill in the gaps with the third book and you will feel bad for Brody for losing the woman he loved but cheer him on since he was being a good man. Although there was part of me that thought he was being an idiot for not telling Carolyn what had happened sooner. I get that it was tragic and he was hurt but so was she. Well Brody will get a second chance with the woman he loves even though it is not an easy path that he will be taking. Carolyn doesn’t make it simple on him and I liked that but she had a big heart and will open it again for him. She is a vulnerable character thanks to her past but she is also strong.
Well I have now read the second and third book to the series and I only have the first book to read to finish off the series.
Connor Creed is a hardworking rancher who is working on his uncle’s legacy. He will enjoy the work but when his estranged twin brother comes back home he will be angry. His thoughts though will be torn between his twin brother and a woman he was starting to have feelings for.
Tricia McCall was in Colorado to help sell her family’s property. She will find herself meeting up again with Connor. She will be torn as she was still in a relationship back in Seattle, although it was fading fast, but her feelings for Connor were strong.
Creed’s Honor is the second book to the series Creed Cowboy by Linda Lael Miller. I have read several books by her and found them heartwarming. This one is very much similar with the heartbreaking plot between the brothers and a promise of love between Connor and Tricia. I liked this story but I did feel like I was already in a story that was already being told. You can follow it along without any problem but there are times that I like to make sure I read a series from the beginning. I will have to find and read the first and third book to know all about this Creed family.
Now I am always one to love a love story and I thought that Connor and Tricia were sweet once they got around to admitting that they have feelings. So besides the love story there was intrigue that was with the twin brother, Brody. You disliked him for the smug way about him but I wondered if it was true. Well that thought really came about half way through the book. I wanted to believe in the brother as it felt there was something that was missing. Due to what you find out about Brody I really want to read the third book to know the entire story.
Landry Sutton was a self made tycoon and was ready to sell his land to his brother but staying in the country was looking like something he might want to do. His change of heart happens when Ria Manning steps into his sight. He finds himself drawn to this woman and unwilling to stay away.
Ria Manning had finally started to settle into this country lifestyle after the tragedies that followed closely together for her. Ria will like the country expect for when buffalo roam into her field and brought the cowboy Landry Sutton into her life.
Big Sky Secrets is the sixth book from Parable, Montana series by Linda Lael Miller. I have read books one through five and have enjoyed them. They are sweet and heartwarming and the sixth book was no exception which made it enjoyable to read.
In the previous book Landry is introduced and he seems like a pretty rough guy around the edges. He is like that still but there is a softness about him when secrets are revealed. There was also humor that comes out from him which made him likeable. Ria was a woman living day to day. She is serious from the tragedies that had occurred but I like that she opened up and went towards a different path that ended up with Landry at her side. I liked the addition of Quinn, Ria’s niece, who let Ria show a different side to herself. Now things will be revealed in the story that will be hard but a happy ending will be given for Ria and Landry.
Brylee Parrish had been left at the alter by a man she thought she loved. She had gotten over it but it felt as if she was just waiting for something to happen. Then she meets her new neighbor Zane and her heart starts beating a little faster.
Zane Sutton is taking a break from the Hollywood scene and back to his rodeo roots. He will be jaded when it comes to women but Zane will be changing his tune when he meets his neighbor Brylee. He will have to convince her that he will not be going back to Hollywood and was here to stay.
Big Sky Wedding is the fifth book to Linda Lael Miller’s series Parable, Montana. Now I did like the previous book with Casey and Walker but I would have to say that Brylee and Zane’s story was better. I was able to be drawn into the story more with these two characters. They were both broken or had their trust misguided at one point and were learning with each other. I guess I am a sucker for these types of characters.
Brylee was still bitter but not because of Hutch it was because she hadn’t found someone she wanted to be with. I liked Zane who was more down to earth actor which was because of how he was brought up. He had it tough but survived. They were both survivors which made them perfect for each other.
I am waiting for the next book Big Sky Secrets to be available to checkout which is with Landry and Ria.
Walker Parrish has lived for years on the sideline when it came to his kids. They only knew him as a friend but that will soon be changing when Casey moves to his town. He will finally start to have a relationship with his own kids and the woman he has loved.
Casey Elder wants a normal life for her children. She loves music and performing but wonders if she has made a mistake with how she raised them and that she kept them away from their father, Walker.
Big Sky Summer is the fourth book from Parable, Montana series by Linda Lael Miller. I had been wondering how the story of Casey and Walker would play out. It was an uphill battle between them and the kids as they got over the shock of finding out who their father was and where to go from there.
I liked the story for the characters as they had flaws like Casey who I wasn’t warming up to all the time. I think it was because of the situation she put her kids into along with Walker, but she does redeem herself. She is a good mother who was scared and on the verge of a big career. I liked Casey and Walker’s explosive passion that happened every time they were together alone. Now Walker was a cowboy through and through. He played the part of friend to the kids and it kind of broke your heart that he was only on the sideline. With the turmoil that happened there is still a happy ending that brings the family together.
The last book I have from Linda Lael Miller is Big Sky Wedding.
Sheriff Boone Taylor is a widower trying to get used to having his kids living back with him and still trying to get over the death of his wife. Boone doesn’t like the fact that he has feelings starting for his neighbor and will soon start resisting that pull of attraction.
Tara Kendall has made Montana her home but she misses her step kids and will now have the chance to see them again. Tara’s only problem will be with her next door neighbor who she thought was a jerk turned out to be better than she realized.
Big Sky River is the third book to Linda Lael Miller’s series Parable, Montana. With this next book I liked it. It wasn’t my favorite of the series but overall enjoyable.
Boone was a widower and very moody at times but it is understandable. I liked that he finally got his act together and shape up with his kids and pursing Tara for an actual relationship. Tara is hard working and loves her step-kids. She grows a backbone finally when dealing with her ex-husband and when dealing with Boone. What I liked about the two characters was that their relationship did not start with love at first sight. It was an uphill battle for both of them to get over their mistrust and grief.
Casey and Walker’s story is next in Big Sky Summer.
