Abby stays out of the limelight of her father’s political career but she will be sucked in when men will be after her. Abby will have her secret service but it wouldn’t be enough, it will take Carlos to save her and protect her from danger.
Carlos “Steady” had loved Abby from afar and he would do anything he could to protect her. When she is taken Carlos will go on his own to bring back Abby. As he keeps close to Abby, Carlos will realize that he doesn’t want to be parted from her when she is brought back home.
Full Throttle is the seventh book to the series Black Knights Inc by Julie Ann Walker. I really liked this novel mainly because of the two characters of Abby and Carlos.
I liked the character of Abby. She was someone who went about and did her job but mainly kept to herself. She wasn’t really able to live her life since she was the presidents daughter. The mystery of what was her fault kept me reading. Well it wasn’t that much of a mystery as I had guessed pretty early on in the book. But I thought that Walker did a good job writing Abby’s guilt that ate away for the last eight years. So Carlos was a favorite of mine. He was very charming, thoughtful, and of course lethal in a fight. He was someone who would do anything to protect those he loved. My heart broke for Carlos when tragedy had struck him but that was what made him into the soldier he had become.
The threat is obviously the men who are after Abby and they are determined. I thought there was a good amount of action and danger which kept me entertained throughout the book.
Well there is one more book to the series which is out right now, though I am going to take a break from Walker and move on yet again.
Mac wanted Delilah from the moment that he had seen her but he had to stay away. He did not want to repeat past mistakes, but then Mac will have to help Delilah and he will find himself in close proximity to her. For Mac it will be hard to concentrate but in order to keep Delilah and her uncle safe, Mac had to keep his head in the mission.
Delilah had fallen in love with Mac but she knew he was just not interested. Though when Delilah’s uncle is taken she goes to the Black Knights, specifically to Mac, for help. She will be grateful for the help especially when she finds out there is much more to her uncle’s kidnapping.
Hell for Leather is the sixth book to the series Black Knights Inc by Julie Ann Walker. Its been awhile since I picked up a book from the author and I found myself not having a problem following along. Though I will say it took me a little time to get back into the book. It was mostly because I was trying to remember the other characters that were being mentioned in the book. Once I let go of that notion I sat back and enjoyed the book, and it was very enjoyable.
I found Mac’s character likable and a badass, but was a little annoying with his need not to fall for Delilah especially when you find out the reason he needs to stay away. I can understand his reasoning especially when you get the whole story but every situation is different. Mac can’t see beyond what had happened to him in the past. Then there is Delilah who is a vibrant woman but she had gone through a lot within the past couple of years. I liked that she stays strong but inside she is an emotional mess. That made her feel real.
Well there is some definite action that comes to the Black Knights thanks to Delilah. Through the first half of the book I was wondering why would the bad guys had taken Delilah’s uncle. The truth will be revealed which made sense for why the bad guys were going after the uncle and Delilah.
Eve Edens knew that her accidents weren’t just accidents but no one believed her at the police station. She will go to the one group that she knew could help her even though seeing Billy always breaks her heart. She still loves him even with twelve years between the last time they had been together.
Billy “Wild Bill” Reichert could not help be angry with the woman who had broken his heart but to see her in danger he could not just stand by. He will help her find out who is the person harassing Eve and get closer to her than he had in twelve years which will make him realize how much he still wants her.
Born Wild is the fifth book to the Black Knights Inc series by Julie Ann Walker. I was waiting for their story because I knew it was coming and although this story was predictable with certain parts of the, especially with how Eve and Billy were separated, I enjoyed the book.
Eve has been a character in the series but mostly on the side as Becky’s friend and something else when it came to Billy. I liked that Eve had progressed throughout the series and she became stronger and could stand up to those who were manipulating her. Billy was a wild card but a good guy and one who could hold a grudge. I liked that he was someone you could count on and was good at his job. Now in the midst of it all there is that sexual tension which had been there all along will explode as danger comes closer. There will be fireworks when Eve and Billy finally get to be together again after twelve years.
As I said above it was predictable with who was doing the manipulation to keep Eve and Billy apart but I was surprised with who the person was behind the attack on Eve. Walker does a good job at keeping us focused on the most likely suspect while the actual one was able to be undetected until the very end.
Well as I have now gone through five books from Julie Ann Walker I am going to take a break from the author let the books build up.
Rock Babineaux has been a member of the Black Knights team but now he is on the run and has gone rogue. Anyone around him would not believe he has betrayed his country. He will not be surprised when he will be in a manhunt by the CIA and his team, but running was necessary as it will be the only way to protect them.
Vanessa Cordero could not believe that her partner had gone rogue and she wanted to prove that he was innocent. Her team was on her side but in order to protect Rock they had to first find him. Vanessa will be determined to find Rock and she will be successful but they will quickly have to cover their tracks as trouble will be finding them.
Thrill Ride is the fourth book Black Knights Inc series by Julie Ann Walker. I liked the book. I still think for me the best were the first and second book but this one was no slouch. I was intrigued by these two characters from the previous book and how their interaction had not changed only got steamier in this book. Rock was a man who was not afraid to show how he felt about a particular woman, namely Vanessa. But Rock has a lot to deal with so starting something with Vanessa was not a smart idea. Vanessa was another one of the team and she was tough when she needed too be but with Rock she fell apart. She wasn’t a girly girl as she couldn’t be with the men around to tease her, then again with Rock she felt nothing but being a woman.
The danger is all around the team and Rock as they try to clear all that has happened. There is a lot more investigation that happens in this book but that is needed as they need to find out the truth and how to clear Rock’s name.
I will say I was happy with the ending but I felt that Vanessa forgave Rock a little too quickly as he nearly broke her heart towards the end. But as I said I wanted them to get that happy ending so finishing the book I satisfied. The last book that I have to read is Born Wild which I will be starting next.
Jake “the Snake” Sommers is back and is back for Michelle as she is the only woman he had ever loved. But he had screwed up their lives by sending her away and into the arms of another man. Jake will get the chance to be around Michelle to protect her but with danger coming closer he will find something that had been hidden from him.
Michelle Carter has been a widow for four years and loved her husband but the man she was in love with was now back. She doesn’t want to get close to him as she has a lot to lose but now she has to because she is in danger.
Rev It Up is the third book from Julie Ann Walker’s series Black Knight Inc. I really like this book but I will have to say that I liked the other two books I read previously a little more. I am still flying through the pages of the book and am enjoying the story with the characters.
Its funny as I was really interested in learning more about Michelle and I liked her. She was tough when it came to her little boy but I found her a little annoying at times. She was keeping a big secret and kept giving excuses when she should just be brave and tell the truth. It was unfair to keep that big of a secret. I get it because she was hurt and under a misconception but I still didn’t like the situation. Jake’s character was a touch guy but underneath it all he was a softie when it came to Michelle. Walker has the water works going on with Jake several times within the book, it all dealt with Michelle. I felt bad for him when it came to him finding out what was being kept from him. I wanted him to have that happy ending with Michelle as you knew it would happen but before any of that could take place they had to make peace with their past.
The villain is certain Johnny and he is a nasty piece of work especially with his obsession with Michelle and he gets close to doing some serious damage but he wouldn’t be getting away. Fortunately Walker will not have her main characters walking to their deaths.
The fourth story is with Rock and Vanessa in Thrill Ride which I will be reading next.
Becky “Rebel” Reichert was one of the best mechanics as she could create and build most anything. She will use this skill and her business as a cover for her brothers team of ex-military men. She was treated as one of the boys but desperately wanted to be noticed by the one man she had wanted for three years, Frank.
Frank “Boss” Knight had wanted Becky from the first moment that he saw her but he kept away because of the age difference. Now with three years near each other Frank will reach his boiling point and keep Becky at his side especially when she will be in danger.
In Rides Trouble is the second book to the series Black Knight Inc by Julie Ann Walker. I wanted more after reading the book which is good since that I have checked out all the books I could to continue the series. I had said the other day that I bet this series will be scorching and I was right. The second book is even steamier than the first thanks to the pent up sexual tension that is between Becky and Frank.
The characters of Frank and Becky are people who are in your face and determined to be the leaders which makes things frustrating for both of them. I really liked Frank’s character as he was a hard-ass but he was loyal to his men and wanted to be the good man. What drove me crazy was this deception he had going with this woman he went to visit who had a kid. I didn’t think this was a real love interest but I wasn’t completely sure. At one point I thought she was a widow of one of his men that he might have lost and she needed him. No matter who the woman was I didn’t want her to interfere with Becky’s pursuit of Frank. Now Becky was as tough as nails and a spitfire but even she had her breaking moments which I thought Walker wrote well. After the kidnapping you saw a softer side of Becky who was fighting back tears as she didn’t want to show a vulnerability to the men or Frank.
Throughout the book sparks flew between Frank and Becky which made this book very entertaining to read and filled with sexual tension and yes finally hot sex between them which was building for three years.
The bad guys were by far the men who took Becky and Eve from their boat. They were not very smart with the kidnapping but they should not be counted out because there will be some trouble later on in the book.
The third book is Rev It Up with Michele and Jake.
Nate “Ghost” Weller was not expecting his best friends sister to show up asking for help, but Nate would not turn her away especially with all that she had been through. He will find that there is more going on and it linked to a zip drive that Grigg sent to his sister, Ali.
Ali Morgan needed help as she knows that she is being followed and now almost mugged. She will go to Nate who she had loved since seventeen years old. Ali will demand to be part of the investigation as it was dealing with understanding what had happened to her brother, Grigg.
Hell On Wheels is the first book to Julie Ann Walker’s series Black Knight Inc. This is a scorching book and I figure will be a scorching series. I have the first five books in the series. First off loved this book. I could not put it down. It had danger, a lot of sex appeal, raw emotions especially guilt at least on Ghosts side, and a compelling plot that I needed to read. I will say that I am reminded of Laura Kaye and her Hard Ink series which isn’t a bad thing. The two series are different though with their style of writing and what is happening in them but similar with these tough men. I will say that for me there is more danger in Walker’s story and I loved that because it makes the plot compelling to read.
So Nate or Ghost as he is called is a man of few words and when he says them he is not loud or really obnoxious. He has guilt that is consuming him because of what he did. He also has guilt plaguing him as he feels things towards Ali and he knows that he shouldn’t. Ali needs help from the man she could trust with her life. She is a brave person with all she had to deal with but it is almost comical as her flaw is a weak stomach and that will result in a mess at the most inopportune moments. What I liked about Ali was she was scared but could handle herself thanks to her brothers training which comes in handy.
The scene with the torture I was expecting it to be bad and had a feeling with what happened in that room especially to Grigg. It was horrifying and I thought Walker did a good job writing those pages and how Ghost was forever changed because of that.
Becky “Rebel” and Frank’s “Boss” story is next to read and I can’t wait to find out what will happen.
