Immortal Nights

immortal-nightsAbigail Forsythe has had a tough couple years and they will get a lot worse when she finds herself hiding in the back of a cargo plane, but she wouldn’t be alone. Abigail will find an unconscious man who had been kidnapped. She will help free him but they will have to move fast to keep distance between them and the kidnappers.

Tomasso Notte and his brother had been kidnapped. His brother had escaped and with the help of a stowaway he will escape as well. Though Tomasso will not be freed from the trouble as it will follow him and Abigail as they search the island for safety.

Immortal Nights is the twenty fourth book to the series Argeneau by Lynsay Sands. I thought that this novel was good. I liked reading about Tomasso and his plot intrigued me as it continued with the Notte twins.

Abigail’s character was someone who had it tough for a long time. She was a strong woman to handle caring for her mother. You wanted Abigail to find love and to be happy again and for her to get her life together how she wanted, like becoming a doctor again. Tomasso’s character a strong warrior and loyal to his family. He was also adorable as he was a closet nerd. He liked science but you would hardly know that as he didn’t speak much. Though when he does speak he is thoughtful.

There are parts in this book that is the same with every book which is always explaining about the immortals. I think that Lynsay Sands writes it well but it gets repetitive especially since I have read this series from the beginning. The danger in this book is low key but Sands will leave us with a cliffhanger at the end.

The next book is coming out in March of 2017.

Vampire Valentine

Bitten By Cupid

Vampire Valentine is a novella in the series Argeneau Family. This novella is part of a collection called Bitten By Cupid. I will be honest and say that I didn’t read the other two novellas as I just wanted to read the one from Lynsay Sands.

This novella falls around the fifteenth book which is when Stephanie plays matchmaker. Well this book is all about getting Stephanie to Port Henry where she will have to stay for awhile. Tiny and Mirabeau have to make sure that Stephanie arrives safe. I liked this novella. It was of course short but too the point and I liked that it was with Tiny who had worked side by side with Marguerite when she was investigating.

So Tiny’s character was a big guy, very much the opposite of his name. He was smart and quiet but when it comes to his lifemate he will be very sensual like all the others. Tiny was adorable and I liked that he was getting his happy ending as well. Mirabeau’s story was interesting with what she had endured in her past. I liked that she had become an enforcer to help. I also liked that she lightened up when Tiny was around.

There was not much danger that was involved in this novella, in fact there was none at all, but I was okay with that as I liked the story because of the characters.

About a Vampire

About a VampireJustin Bricker has watched many of his fellow immortals pair off with their life mates. He wanted his life mate mostly for the sex but when he finds her there will be a problem. His life mate is already married.

Holly Bosley was going back to her temp job when she will be surprised by some intruders. Holly’s life will forever be changed from the one that she knows as she will be turned into an immortal.

About a Vampire is the twenty second book to the series Argeneau Family by Lynsay Sands. I thought that the book was not bad. It was certainly Lynsay Sands writing which is entertaining but I wasn’t loving it like the earlier books of her series.

I have been waiting for Justin’s story for a while and while I liked it I was kind of disappointed. He was just way to immature for my taste. Although that is pretty much his personality and Lynsay Sands keeps his character true to how he had been written. I guess I didn’t like him as much because it was now focused solely on him. But there were parts that I liked in the book. There was that humor that Sands writes well like with how Decker and Anders get back at Justin. Also towards the end of the book I felt that Justin did mature a lot with how to deal with his life mate. Holly’s character was okay. She was married and didn’t want to cheat on her husband which was good. I was wondering how Sands would let Holly and Justin be together. The ending she writes lets that happen and I will say it gets a little cheesy but with that ending everyone is happy.

Now although this wasn’t my favorite I know that I will continue reading the series when another book comes out.

The Immortal Who Loved Me

The Immortal Who Loved MeSherry Carne was a successful business woman but was unlucky in love. That will all change when a young girl runs into her shop and hides from four men who barged into the store. Sherry will find herself immersed into a world that was hidden from her and she will not be alone any longer.

Basileios “Basil” Argeneau is one of the oldest immortals. He had lost his mate right as Atlantis had fallen and has not found another life mate since then. That will change for Basil when he meets Sherry. Though before he can get her to agree to be changed he will have to protect her from danger.

The Immortal Who Loved Me is the twenty-first book to the Argeneau Family series by Lynsay Sands. Alright so I thought that this book was good, it wasn’t my favorite. Throughout this series there have been amazing books, great books, and good books. I guess I felt that Sherry and Basil went straight to having sex right away. I’m okay with that but I wanted a little more from the characters before they let the life mate passion overwhelm them. I found Sherry’s character a little strange at times but she was interesting being that she was very outspoken. Basil’s character was calm and collected. I found him interesting as he was Lucian’s brother. I can’t remember if he was in the previous books but overall I liked his character.

There was another character that I liked in the book which was Stephanie. Stephanie was a young girl that was changed to a non fanger by Leo as well as her sister Dani. I really can’t wait to read Stephanie’s story which I would assume Lynsay Sands will be writing. In this book she was playing matchmaker, she was like a mini Marguerite.

What kept me going was the mystery of the immortal that had been in Sherry’s life. It appeared that the mystery immortal had controlled Sherry as they programmed certain answers for her to respond when she was asked about a certain person. The answers are given and it was intriguing but at the same time not great with what the immortal did.

On a side note I loved reading about Lucian and Leigh. You got to know what was happening with them which made me happy especially with how they had a tragedy several books back.

I have About a Vampire, which is with Justin. Justin has been a character that has been in the series for quite awhile and I am looking forward to reading his story next.

Vampire Most Wanted

Vampires Most WantedBasha Argeneau or known as Divine has been running from her family for a long time. She is fearful that she will be caught and killed along with her son. Divine will be caught by a family spy and find truths that had been hidden from her.

Marcus Notte was working for Lucien and his job was to locate Basha. He will find her but it will shock him that she will be something more to him.

Vampire Most Wanted is the twentieth book from the Argeneau Family series by Lynsay Sands. I have read all of the books to this series and am always wanting to read the next installation. I liked the book for what it was but I have to say that it took me longer to get through than most of her books. I think for one there was little to no humor that Sands usually would write especially in the beginning of the series. This book was more dire in the situation and more violent which I don’t mind but I felt that I had to force myself to read. I guess for me the beginning was slow and I wanted more to happen a little faster. Once I get over half of the book I do find myself picking up the pace because now it seems the story is moving along. It is still without much humor but the truth is becoming clear and Basha’s past is being revealed which I thought was interesting and horrible at the same time.

Sands write Basha’s past well and you feel for the character with all that she goes through. When you find out all that had happened to Basha you feel horrible for her as no person should be tormented that much. She only grows stronger as she finds the truth. I am happy that there was a light at the end of the tunnel for Basha and Marcus, and for Basha and her family.

What I thought was interesting was the mention of nanos which is usually present was not so much. Sands focuses more on the no fangers which were the bad guys and one that will be a problem as he is not caught at the end. You know that he will be trouble as he has been in the past but now his identity is known and you know he will be visiting again in the book as he will more than likely become a bigger threat. I will just have to wait for the next book to find out.

One Lucky Vampire

One Lucky VampireNicole Phillips is a successful artist but going through a divorce that is leaving her with too many problems. She will get some help with a new cook/housekeeper but she will be getting more than she realized.

Jake Colson is on a job thanks to a family member but it is not the normal security job. He has to play a role to help protect an artist who is being threatened by her ex-husband. He will keep an eye on her but his lust will take over even when the accidents gets too close.

One Lucky Vampire is the nineteenth book from the Argeneau Family series by Lynsay Sands. I have read all of the books of this series and it keeps me going with every book I have read. Lynsay Sands brings this series with a interesting twist with the nanos. This was another good book to read. She keeps growing the series with new family members and it looks as if she is giving more options going to the Notte side of the family. There is a side of me that still loves the very beginning books the best but no matter what these books are very entertaining.

I liked Nicole’s character in the book. She was an artist and stressed over all that she has been happening to her with the divorce. I liked that you found out more info on the soon to be ex husband which gives several answers to several situations that happened. Now there is of course our hero who is Jake. He was turned only seven years ago and doesn’t really like it. He does understand more now and stops hating what he is.

There will be plenty of sex between Nicole and Jake once they understand they are life mates and it doesn’t really stop. Their relationship goes fast pretty quickly but that is like most of the couples in the series. It gets a little humorous with Jake’s family intruding on them. I thought that getting to who is behind all the accidents took a while to have it all wrapped up together. There is a twist with this person that kept you guessing towards a different direction.

Immortal Ever After

Immortal Ever AfterValerie Moyer had no idea where she was only that she had to get out.  She understood that she need to fight to survive but at the last moment she was rescued and  brought into a new world that she had no idea about.

Anders went to the home because of a police call knowing that a rogue was up to no good. He didn’t expect to find cages of women and one who  fought the rogue nearly dying herself to be his lifemate.

Since starting the Argeneau Family series I have been hooked. Immortal Ever After is the eighteenth book to the ever growing series from Lynsay Sands and it was very enjoyable to read. The series started out lighthearted and with humor following the characters. Lately they have been getting more serious but with a character like Anders it would make sense as he is more stoic to all those around him and not known for his humor, but he is a good man. Also as the plot surrounds a kidnapping of women it is okay to have a serious side. Now saying that there are some humor filled moments especially when Valerie and Anders will interact. I liked Valerie’s character as she is very strong and has backbone when dealing with dangerous situations.

Sands brings us back with old characters who have found their lifemates to interact along with Anders and Valerie. I like the process as you never really forget those characters as they are always around or at least mentioned. This is a great way of doing it as her series seems to keep going. I love that Leigh and Lucian were also very much in the book. They are a favorite of mine. Still waiting for Justin Brinker to find his lifemate. He has been constant in the series but so far no lifemate yet. In the book I also liked how the dog Roxy was part of the plot as it went back to how Anders liked dogs from the previous books.

Can’t wait for the next installation of the Argeneau Family series.
