Ride Wild

Cora Campbell had been running when she found a way out with the help of the Ravens. She gets a shot at starting a new life with Slider who has her working as his kids nanny. Things will get complicated when she starts to have feelings for Slider.

Sam “Slider” Evans had been burned by the love of his life. He lived his life now only for his children. He will start to live again when Cora becomes part of their life.

Ride Wild is the third book to the series Raven Riders by Laura Kaye. I liked this book. It was a fun, fast, sweet, and steamy book.

Cora was sweet and looking for a second chance. I liked her character, she was ready to begin a new chapter for herself and I really liked that she wanted to do the things on her own. She wanted independence but was not afraid to ask for help. Slider’s character was a great dad but he needed help. I liked that he softened up when Cora was around especially when he let go of the past.

Within the story there wasn’t a lot of action. There will be some trouble with the Raven and some bystanders will get into trouble. The Ravens will have to help the ones they love.

The other characters of Sam and Ben, Slider’s son’s, were adorable. They wanted the best for their dad and they were a cute addition to the story.

Sunset in Central Park

Frankie Cole never thought love was for her because of her parents divorce. She threw herself into work as a designer for gardens. That was her true passion. Frankie will notice things start to change between her best friend Matt, who she liked more than she should’ve. She knew that if something happened between them it would not end well, but Matt will keep pursuing and Frankie will start to wonder.

Sunset in Central Park is the second novel to the series From Manhattan with Love by Sarah Morgan. This was a cute book.

I had to get into more of the novel to really love Frankie. It wasn’t right away but once I was there I really liked Frankie’s character. She was definitely shy and kept people at a distance when it turned romantic. I liked that she finally took a chance and really had a talk with her mother which really helped her find love. Matt’s character was the right man for Frankie. He was sweet to Frankie and wanted the best for her. Also wanted her romantically as he had loved her for years. I wanted Matt to take a chance and tell Frankie, subtle didn’t work with her. There are predictable problems but it makes it all the more sweeter when things go right for them.

I am on the list for the third book which will be about Eva who is the hopeless romantic of the group.

Sleepless in Manhattan

Paige Walker had been the sick girl in her hometown. Paige wanted a fresh start in New York and she was making it but then her dreams will be crushed. She will rely on her friends for help to get her dream on her own. She will get help from her friends, Frankie and Eve as well from her brother Matt. The one that she will be hesitant to ask for help will be the man she loved since she was a teenager, Jake Romano.

Sleepless in Manhattan is the first book to the series From Manhattan with Love by Sarah Morgan. I had seen this book when this series started but I wanted to wait for several books to be finished. I thought this was a sweet story. Its a story of second chances and your heart will melt when Jake finally realizes what he was missing.

I liked Paige’s drive for organizing. I am completely the same with organizing the things in my life. I thought she was brave to try and not because she survived surgery but because starting a business is not an easy task. I liked that she was nervous, excited and scared as hell throughout the story. It felt real. The romance between Jake and Paige was not there but that is because Jake could not let himself be with Paige that way. Though things will change and Jake will finally let himself want Paige but it will still take a while for him to open his heart up all the way.

I am interested in reading about Frankie and Eve who are the best friends of Paige and who are part of the business.

At the end the book there was another story, Midnight at Tiffany’s. This was a prequel to the series From Manhattan with Love. This book is about Matilda who is an inspiring writer who is looking to get a chance to get her book published. She is working as a waitress to pay the bills which is when her life will get changed forever. She will meet Chase the man whose brother has a publishing house but she did not know the man was Chase.

This prequel which is a novella is a sweet and very short. You get everything you want all wrapped up in a bow. I of course want more detail but I was satisfied with how the story was written.

The second book is Sunset in Central Park which I will be reading next.

Theirs to Take

Theirs to Take is the forth story to the series Blasphemy by Laura Kaye. This is a series all about the BDSM world that Laura Kaye has created. I have been enjoying these books as the author writes interesting characters that were either new to the world or coming back to that world.

Within this novella there are three characters that are coming together to become a menage. There is Hartley, Jonathon and Cruz. Jonathon and Cruz knew each other from the Navy and had feelings towards each other but both were to scared to pursue anything. It will take Hartley to bring the men together with her in the mix.

Alright now in all honesty I did like the story. It was steamy and very quick to read but it wasn’t my favorite. I wanted more on the story, more detail. I think that if the story had not been a novella there would have been more time to really develop the characters. In novellas everything just goes fast and even though I love a good happy ending I wanted more on the characters. There needed to be more detail to really get the characters developed and to make it believable of this change in all of their lives.
