For a year Gretchen has been planning her wedding to Hunter. She wants the craziness to be finished so she could start her life with her husband but there will be a problem with Hunter and that situation could unravel their wedding.
Beauty and the Billionaire: The Wedding is the last book to the series Billionaire Boys Club by Jessica Clare. I really liked this novella. I thought it wrapped up the series nicely and it was entertaining to read about Gretchen and Hunter again. I felt at times that it was very short but with Gretchen mentioned in the other books from the Billionaires and Bridesmaid I felt her story was complete.
It was fun to read about Gretchen and Hunters wedding. I had liked them from the beginning. Gretchen is still very outspoken and Hunter is still very shy but he is in complete love with his soon to be wife. Jessica Clare stayed true to how her characters were and interacted with each other especially with the conflict that comes between the couple, though it didn’t really, as it was all blown out of portion in Gretchen’s mind.
What surprised me was the other story line with Daphne, Gretchen’s sister, who was the singer/druggie. She was getting clean and I liked that she was staying clean. I was still not a big fan of hers but I liked that she did have some redemption and was becoming the woman she used to be.
Well this is it for me with the series from Jessica Clare but I will be back to this author.
Taylor was a nerd and very much into computer games and anything with science fiction. She was not the girl to attract the attention of a hot guy like Loch, but she was loving the time she was able to spend with him.
Loch was being sent away from his home for a couple years and within a week he was bored. Though when he was with Taylor life was not too boring. He wanted to spend time with Taylor but he will complicate the relationship when he sets up a plan to get back home.
Billionaire on the Loose is the fifth book to the series Billionaires and Bridesmaids by Jessica Clare. I really loved this story and it was all because of Taylor and how her character was in science fiction. My mom is a Trekkie so I grew up with all things science fiction and have been to a convention, which I have to say was entertaining. I loved the references with Dr. Who. I think Jessica Clare did a great job with Taylor’s character.
With Taylor’s character you knew she was genuine. She tried hard and was goofy, and very kind. I liked that she put herself out there no matter what, but hated that she was loosing her self from the guilt that was being put on her. When she met with Loch I was cheering for her but knew that a problem would be coming between them. With Loch’s character I actually did like him but he was a little immature at times. It was all because of how he was raised but he does change and changes for the better. What threw me was when he decided to just use Taylor. His character wasn’t mean or cruel, I guess he was just thoughtless, but again he changes.
Well that finishes up the series and now I will be reading the last book to her Billionaire Boys Club, Beauty and the Billionaire: The Wedding.
Greer has loved Asher since college and she was ready to make him notice her. Greer will get Asher to notice her but it was not how she thought it would be.
Asher was living in his own self misery and then he made a mistake with his best friend. Asher will be shocked by the feelings he starts to feel for Greer and will do all he could to make her understand he truly wants her.
The Billionaire’s Favorite Mistake is the fourth book to the series Billionaires and Bridemaids by Jessica Clare. I liked this book but I will say that the beginning felt rushed. I didn’t really get to connect with the characters until the middle of the story. Though once I did I liked the story line and wanted to see how Greer and Asher would get their happy ending.
I liked Greer’s character but I wanted her to stand up to those around her, like her father. A side note, her father is a horrible man and I hated that he learned nothing in the end. She stayed in the background. Though she was strong in her own way and she was pretty witty and stubborn when she was interacting with Asher. I liked that she made it difficult with Asher and didn’t just give in. She held a little of herself back. Asher’s character was a man who was loosing herself and he needed to change. I liked that when he looses Greer in his life he reevaluates what is important. Asher will go about things the wrong way but he was doing it to get Greer to forgive and give him another chance. I wanted that but also for Asher to grow up and get his life together.
Princess Alexandra wanted to live a little and she will get that chance when she meets Luke Houston, the movie star. She will be shocked that Luke will want more and Alex will be willing but will be nervous to want more with Luke.
Luke Houston was on site for his movie but it was going down hill, then he will meet Princess Alexandra. He will be impressed by Alex and want to know more. Luke will do what he could to get to know Alex and get close to her.
His Royal Princess is a novella from Billionaire’s Boys Club by Jessica Clare. 3.5 novella. I thought this was a cute story and fun addition to the series.
I thought Alex’s character was intriguing. She was brought up to be proper and she was but there was an adventurous girl inside of her just waiting to step out. It was cute that her mother and grandmother helped her. It was not expected which was nice. Alex lets herself go from the stuffy upbringing and live a little when it comes to Luke. Luke’s character was a nice guy. He was not a player but a serious actor who wanted to do the best he could when it came his movies. Luke is definitely a lustful guy but he is sweet and playful especially when it comes to Alex. It was interesting getting to know these characters who were introduced in the fourth book of this series.
I am reading the last three books next which will conclude the Billionaire’s and Bridesmaids series and the Billionaire’s Boys Club series.
Rory O’Roarke was trying to get his life back together after a failed marriage. He will find himself in a small town as a fireman again. He will also find Meg who will have him wanting to chance his heart again.
Meg Starling had left her small town to make it big but she was unable to reach her dream. She came back home but was still set on getting her own show. Though she will be distracted by Rory who was someone she wanted to be with.
In the Heat of the Night is the second book to the series The O’Roarkes by Katerine Garbera. I thought this was a good sequel to the series. It was a cute story of two characters reaching for what they want and learning to make the appropriate sacrifices.
Rory’s character was a man who had given it all up for a woman only to find out that life with the woman had not worked. Rory lost of a little of himself when that happens. He is trying to find his place again. I liked that he was finding it in the small town and letting himself feel again. Meg’s character was a determined woman who had been burned before with her career. She was not willing to let it go until she was a success. I did like Meg’s determination but it was almost forced because it was something she needed to do and wasn’t in her heart anymore. Their romance was steamy but sweet at the same time. What I didn’t like was that they each were asking the other to give up what they loved. It wasn’t fair to either of them. Though for one of them they were lying to themselves because what they had wanted was no longer in their heart.
There are still some O’Roarke’s that haven’t had their story told. I don’t know if those stories will be coming since it took about eight years for the sequel to come out. If the stories do come out I would be interested in reading them.
Antoinette “Toni” Delacourte was used to being tough and distant from those around her. Though that will change when she sleeps with Lucky. She thought their one night would be done but then she finds out about the consequence from that night and her world has completely changed.
Lucky has gone through a depression after the loss of his sister. He wants to be happy and he will finally take a chance with the woman he has loved since he was a teenager.
Wrong Question, Right Answer is the third book to the series The Bourbon Street Boys by Elle Casey. I thought this novel was good, not great but still entertaining.
The thing that bugged me about the novel was Toni and her attitude. Now her attitude has been there since the beginning but it does get a little annoying. I liked that she loosened up a little especially when she was pregnant but it takes a lot of time for that to happen. Lucky’s character was too good to be true. I loved that he was ready for whatever life threw at him especially as he was battling his own demons. Lucky was able to help heal himself and Toni.
This is the end of the series, that is until Toni’s brother has his story which is coming out in March.
Jenny was stressed beyond belief and it was only getting worse, but then she will get a break with a new job. Jenny was hesitant but she was taking a chance and one with a new man in her life. Dev will have Jenny wanting more and will have her believing that she can handle whatever is thrown into her life.
Wrong Place, Right Time is the second book to the series Bourbon Street Boys by Elle Casey. I liked the novel but I have to say not as much as the first story. This novel was definitely much slower to get through. In fact I just wanted to skim some parts of the novel, but I stuck with it and I was happy towards the end.
I guess what threw me was the characters. In the first novel Dev’s character was fun and a little wacky with his sneak attacks but in this one he was much more moody. Now I understand as with his situation with his child is a little sad, but he was a really good dad, just more private with that side of his life. I just wish there was more of Dev from the first book. He does show that side of him but it takes some time. I was also a little annoyed by how he played hot and cold with Jenny. It was like a yo yo with how he was acting with her. Things will get settled but it takes over half the novel to get there. Now with Jenny’s character she was the frantic mom who was over stressed and over worked. I think her character worked but she was a little on the crazy side at times. I do love her interaction with her youngest Sammy. That kid with his lisp is too precious and Sammy’s interaction with Dev’s kid is adorable.
There were some definite good things and some annoying things but overall this was an enjoyable book. I am reading the third book next.
