Dragon Warrior

Dragon WarriorMaddy Kimble has no time for a suitor but soon one walks into her life and plants a kiss on her in front of everyone stark naked. Maddy is stunned and can not think of anything else except how obnoxious he was, now with a new look Maddy is looking twice. Taking the leap she will find her way with William but with him comes many new problems.

William Kilkenny has been freed of the constraints of being a dragon. He wants to learn how to live in this world and goes for advice from the senior citizens of the community. It does not hurt that the woman he wants works there as well. William will find a way to be with Maddy but soon trouble will be following them and he will have to find a way to tell her about himself.

Dragon Warrior is the second book to Janet Chapman’s Midnight Bay series. We are introduced to William in the first book as a dragon now he is a full man who has his eyes on Maddy. I loved Maddy and William’s interaction throughout the book. She was full of lust but cautious as it was staring her down, namely William. Now the once dragon is one to die for. He was hard headed but had his moments and listened. He was not as caveman like Kenzie which was a relief but he had definite tendencies. Now when they get together the pages are a blaze as a dragon’s fire. There is no stopping them except for wild beast that are hunting them.

I liked the curse aspect from the book. I felt this was a little more involved or perhaps I understood more of it but it was well done. This is definitely something that I have not read before. Its a little quirky with the men being cursed and traveling to a new time but Chapman makes it work. Chapman also introduces new characters like Trace, Mac, Carolina who I have no doubt will be making an appearance further into the series. There was also a little twist with Fiona at the end which I didn’t see coming. So far a fun series to read.

  1. Gayle, again you are introducing me to an author I’ve yet to read. Thanks, I’ll keep an eye out for her books.
